Origins
FEM SOC is organised by a network of volunteers. It was founded in 2007 by Kat
Banyard, and grew out of the success of FEM Conferences - a series of national
feminist conferences which began in 2004. The conferences unearthed a huge hunger
in the UK for opportunities to get active in feminism. Aims
FEM SOC is a resource and network website for UK feminist activists. We aim to:
-
Celebrate
grass roots feminist activism in the UK -
Inspire
individuals to get active in feminism -
Provide
information and resources to activists to support their campaigning -
Facilitate
links between feminist activists across the UK to share ideas, experiences and
learning. Get
involved! There are so many ways you can get involved with FEM SOC! Here
